In most cases, we tend to despise animated movies or movies with child characters. I was once like that and when the film has no Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Jeniffer Aniston and the likes, that wouldn’t pull my attention. But, hey, there are numerous child movies that were incredibly performed to the extent that they can’t be overlooked.
Here are some of the best child movies you should consider checking out this year.
Incredibles 2 (2018)
Incredibles 2 will hit the cinemas on June 15, 2018, 14 years after the first Incredible installment was dropped. The first and the second installments are perfect, a story well built, with characters too cool to sideline. The film basically talks about a superhero film who now live in the suburbs simply because they have extraordinary powers and gifts. There Mr Incredible takes after his family alongside his wife Helen (Elastigirl).
Using the superpowers they have, the family together with their children embark on fighting crime in the city. This makes us explore the true power of unity and certainly the true bond of a family. The 3D-animated film is produced by John Walker and directed by Brad Bird. Walt Disney Studios and Pixar are behind the project and you can also watch Incredibles 2 online trailer which is also out now.The film stars Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Huck Milner, Bob Odenkirk, Brad Bird, Samuel L. Jackson and Sarah Vowell.
Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (2018)
If you watched the previous two installments, make sure not to miss this upcoming buffet. Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation acknowledges Genndy Tartakovsky as a risk taker. A director who builds up a story from nothing to acclamation. His filmology styles are unique and definitely produces heartwarming packages. The third installment stars a little girl known as Marvis, who actually serves as the mastermind. She surprises Dracula by taking him on the boat cruise, but crazy as all the families are, no one dares to remain back.
While feasting and enjoying the summer ocean’s breeze, Dracula discovers a lover on the boat cruise, but it is the wrong choice. There, Marvis and her mulish family members have to save Dracula before it’s too late.
The film is scheduled to hit the cinemas on July 13, 2018, and stars Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, Asher Blinkoff, Kevin James, Andy Samberg, David Spade, Sadie Sandler, and Molly Shannon.
The Boss Baby (2017)
Tom McGrath’s directorial made headlines around and was a perfect release for the spring season. All the comic and comedy you will ever need is perfectly illustrated in DreamWork’s “The Boss Baby”. Have you ever seen a tough baby who wears a suit, holds a briefcase, runs around and showcases his buts to the big brother? The film brings the taste of that. Even the babies fear the boss baby until something joins them for a mission that must stop the evil plan.
Michael McCullers was behind the script and surely, it is one of his best scripts ever, although the film is loosely based on ‘The Boss Baby’ by Marla Frazee. The film received a number of nominations and managed to gross $528 million worldwide.
It stars Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel, David Soren, Lisa Kudrow, and Edie Mirman.
Baby’s Day Out (1994)
Flip the years back to the days of ‘Baby’s Day Out’. This baby was a true human but driven by peculiar forces that guided it wherever it went. Patrick Read Johnson (director) and John Hughes (writer) made one of the world’s best movies. Their soft tough on the film manipulated every impossible scene into reality. Making a simple baby become a hero and an inspiration to many contemporary actors.
Of, course we won’t deny the fact that the film was a box office bomb and that can’t be clearly pondered over. However, the film was successful in many other countries, including India. The film basically stars a baby who tries to find his way back home after being kidnapped. He is illustrated crossing the road, surviving heights, and sleeping with animals.
It’s totally a funny and crazy movie that will leave you astonished. The film stars Joe Mantegna, Lara Flynn Boyle, Brian Haley, and Joe Pantoliano.
Problem Child (1990)
One of the funniest movies you will live to ponder over. How can a young boy have no limit?. He can’t be tamed and definitely, not by a mere woman. That is who Junior (Michael Oliver) is. The mischievous orphan can’t even humble himself for the sake of his foster parents. His story begins in an orphanage where he is already a problem. He is put up for adoption, but as a viewer, you can certainly predict the havoc that this 7-year-old will create.
He lands in the hands of Benjamin ‘Ben’, a humble guy and his wife. The two are battling infertility and the only option seems to be adoption. At home, Junior turns into something else- a headstrong unwilling to submit to anyone. The episodes of his disaster continue and happen to follow Ben wherever he goes.
Problem Child earned big (box office) and was widely acclaimed. It stars John Ritter, Michael Oliver, Gilbert Gottfried, Jack Warden, Michael Richards, and Amy Yasbeck.
Home Alone (1990)
It is one of the best live action comedy of all time and apart from that, ‘Home Alone’ enjoyed remarkable success domestically and worldwide. The film brings a young boy who decides to protect his home from burglars during a winter season. Trying all means in his capacity, he sets traps, confuses the burglars, making them stupid in limited boundaries.
The film was directed by Chris Columbus and written by John Hughes. It stars Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, Catherine O’Hara, and Roberts Blossom. For a decade, Home Alone served as one of the best Christmas films. Due to its success, it inspired a number of sequels.
There you go fans, the list can be prolonged with the other several movies like COCO (2017), Jumanji (1995), Storks and many more. The films are ideally cool for the entire family and will probably make your day.
